This movie tries to capture the charm of classic high school movies, but it falls short of the magic we saw in the early 2000s. While the cast does their best, the characters lack the depth and relatability that made films like Mean Girls or 10 Things I Hate About You so iconic.
The humor feels forced at times, and the storyline is predictable, missing the clever writing and emotional weight that used to define the genre. Even the soundtrack, which should be a standout in a movie like this, feels generic.
It’s not a terrible watch, but it’s hard not to compare it to the classics—and unfortunately, Incoming just doesn’t measure up.
