The show is a cliche storm. Angles, lights, dialogs, score, cuts, narrative structure: all as fresh as a 90s and 2000s Summer blockbuster formula. The script feels as if planned by a committee who could not agree on a plot. It felt as if the showrunners didn't have a script but rather sat first with a demographer to define what the center-of-the-graph audience would look like and then came up with a laundry list of tropes that would please that target.
