This is one of those films that just aged well. In 2001 it was in a genre that forced its comparison to films like Braveheart, Gladiator and Rob Roy. But it’s closest comparison is moulin rouge. It’s witty, entertaining, inspiring and plays to your heart. Doesn’t hurt that many of the actors have since played rolls where they’ve garnered greater recognition. The legacy of Heath Ledger should always include this heartfelt film.
