For those who weren't alive during Segregation or School Desegregation here in North Carolina my book Brown - Skinned Boy gives readers a front row seat of life in Negro Community. These real life events are told thru eyes of my Mother, Family, Classmates and myself. As a Negro you were limited on where you could live work go to school and travel. White Board of Education hired all Negro Teacher's for our Negro School. When hired Negro Teacher's we're giving a list of Businesses where they had to shop for everything they needed from a to z for their needs! If a Negro Teacher was seen shopping at a business that wasn't on list they were fired. I lost my opportunity to attend Negro College!
