I devoured this book. It was gifted to me over a year ago and sat on my shelf until I was ready. This book came into my life at the perfect time. It has changed my views on my own mental health and has given me the strength to give up all of my vices. I believe that all teenagers (of all gender identities) should read this book in year 9. Though not religious I found this book so insightful and has allowed me to put in place my own rituals to keep me connected. Before reading this I genuinely thought I was going crazy, questioning why I was so different and the whole world can just continue on as if nothing is wrong. I now know that those of us who are "awake" are the ones that won't sit by and accept the way things are. I've now purchased so many copies of this book as gifts and given them with the intention that they will be passed on to someone new once the reader is finished. My friends and I now say "hit me right in the Glennon Doyle's" when ever something is truly touching and powerful. Thank you Glennon for your honesty and vulnerability, your book has inspired another and will continue to do so for years to come. x
