all i can say is that from the beginning of the movie, even before i checked out anything about it, i could tell that it wasn’t directed by james wan. they really made a joke out of ed and lorraine for making them act such boring scripts. i mean the sound effects keep leading to a jump scare. james wan made a mistake by giving this one away, it wasn’t as original as the other two, or the nun. i really can’t believe that the conjuring would be turned into one of these trashy horror movies.

this is by far one of the worst horror movies i have ever seen. the story line is just bad. i don’t know what they tried doing or the feeling they tried to evoke with the creepy daughter but the intention wasn’t met. this movie was genuinely confused, not confusing but confused. like it didn’t have a point, they didn’t have any jumps which should have been there to make it a successful horror movie. i’m surprised at how people have given this movie a high ranking. the main character was so good, although the script she was given was half as stupid as THE PURGE movies. she really did her best but the story line just made things worse. in simple terms the movie didn’t have a point, the point which was trying to be thrown to the audience wasn’t emphasised a bit. the fact the they tell us the grandmother is evil, there’s no more information from then on, it’s just every character dealing with their stages of loss. i don’t know what the director tried to do with this one but they clearly failed. the movie doesn’t have a conclusion. as someone who does movie reviews i honestly have a lot of wrong to talk about this movie.
