Spoilers!!!
Just finished binge watching this 10 minutes ago and it's entertaining but poor. The moral of this show seems to be to not help people in need.
From the very beginning characters act like helping a severely abused girl was a nuisance and it somehow caused their family to fall apart in just a few weeks. Constantly blaming the victim or the main character for helping and trying to chalk it up to some mental issues.
The girl is just trying to be a good friend and live her life, but she gets hated on for most of the show. All the main character is doing is trying to help the girl and literally saves the girl from being unwillingly burnt alive by a satanic cult and the writers decided to have her say "hurr durr i have trauma and i was just projecting"
The girl from a secluded satanic cult acted less weird than the girls from a regular old family half the time. And everyone is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dramatic like even for film standards.
The ONLY thing that keeps it at 2 stars are the few rational and kind characters and the fact it was entertaining till the last episode. I was already fed-up with everyone's poor attitude, then it was made obvious that it wasn't just how the characters felt but the show itself and it turned it from somewhat bearable to straight up horrible.
Don't get me wrong, some good points are made, but then its SOOOOOOO over-dramatized that they stop being good points.
