Thomas the tank engine meets Scooby Doo. I think it’s called Nightsleeper ‘cos that’s what its purpose is - to send you to sleep. I’m binge watching it so as not to waste too much time. I’ve turned off my reality module and gone into incredulity mode and it seems to be working. I’ve created a checklist like to one you use at the Oscars. It’s very nearly completed!! Tries to be something it isn’t. The action is too slow, the main characters are wooden, the plot is thin , and , at times, unbelievable. We were lead down a few rabbit holes which were pointless and appeared to be podding out the series to six episodes. Far too slow and repetitive.

Probably the worst film I have ever seen. If there had been a zero rating then this is what it’d get. Apart from the obscene, backside-numbing , ego -massaging 3hours plus plus that you are subjected to, the brutal fact is that it is a very bad film. Criminal , in fact, given the subject matter. I had not been aware of the Osage people but this was not the way to discover it. A degradation of the director’s duty, to treat the genocide of a tribe in such an exploitative manner. Shame on Scorsese. How this came to be nominated for anything is mystifying. I completely endorse all comments from the 1/2 star reviews.

Fell asleep. ‘Nuff said. Even my thriller obsessed wife found it dull and not worth going to see. Probably better as a play on the stage than on the big screen. What’s with the parrot? Probably the best actor in the film but totally underused. Straight to dvd in the remainder box.

Absolute tosh. Wooden acting by the star! Needs a proper script. Took the words from the novel which is to be read. Needs a good script writer. No emotional connect with this film. Soulless.
