I am extremely disappointed in the book my children gave me as a gift. As much as I love Tchaikovsky music, the city of St Petersburg and the atmosphere of a rich cultural life in the middle of 19th century, the book is focused on a questionable homosexuality of Tchaikovsky. Literally, on every page the author trying to find any facts that could be tight to Tchaikovsky to prove his point. I was hoping to learn more about Tchaikovsky's life, music, his family and the atmosphere of the time, but not his sexual orientation. I used to live in St Petersburg.
The book is shallow, just skip it.
