I don't have words to express the pain I am feeling after a holy epic being disgraced the way this movie did. People in our country are easily revolted over new age matters that are most difficult to absorb in a deep set culture, when those topics are genuinely difficult to comprehend and portray. I feel deep sorrow to witness bought over reviews speaking highly of a holy epic being shamelessly adapted like it did in this movie, shame on any hindu involved in the making of this film and not raising concerns on just about anything being represented. And yes, I am single handedly calling out my fellow hindus, for they would have atleast the basic understanding of what Ramayan is. Dont get me wrong, that the movie missed out on representing the true meaning of our divine gods, and the deeds they did. This movie gets the fundamentals of the era, the acts, the people involved in this entire battle between the good and the evil. I would write more, but i am aware my words would drown into the sea of such similar honest views about this movie by all the sold reviews written. Just wondering how everyone is calling our society intolerant, when if a similar depiction of any other holy religion epic could have easily garnered riots. Ashamed, worried about the future of our country, aggrieved.
