As a 65+ year old person of colour (one white, one black parent). My mom (the white parent) was kicked out of her family and my dad's folks weren't much happier. I vividly recall the US civil rights movement. I recall being told that I couldn't rent an apartment because of my colour. While my life has been generally pretty good likely because I have had a good education, I generally don't watch movies that poke this 'bear'. Watched this film and it broke my heart. It was excellent.

I have never really had known much about Val Kilmer nor the totality of his career I found this documentary to be real. It seemed honest. Touching.
