DayZ is a fun game...when it works. I purchased the digital edition on PS4 after it was released more then a year ago and I can't join any servers a lot of times. It's like a hit or miss, everyday I wake up hoping today I might be able to play some DayZ and it's a 50% chance it will work or it won't. So this game has been out for over a year, and my first game I was killed by invisible zombies and couldn't die no matter how high of a building I chose to jump from. I'm sure this game is a lot of fun but it's very broken and needs a lot of attention (maybe even a rework). I hear its optimized for PC and have seen countless videos and it looks nicer and actually works so don't buy this game for PS4 unless your willing to put with sometimes not playing the game, it's not up to you anymore it's up to the game.

Honest Review I’m a casual gamer and I only have 1 character (I tried to make a couple extra but couldn’t stick to it), I don’t play PVP or Battlegrounds either, strictly solo doing the story, side quests and exploring. Anyways, I pre-ordered this game on console many years ago and I have seen and experienced the rise of ESO in many good ways that I’m sure you can find articles diving deep into it. The storyline is good and you don’t need any DLC to have a good time but I do recommend waiting for a good sale on a bundle that would include ALL the major expansions, it’s worth it. The sense of adventure in this game is epic, yes its maybe not Skyrim epic or Oblivion epic but its still epic nonetheless. You will have fun, whether your playing solo or with a group of friends. I don’t have experience playing with friends unfortunately but I’m sure it’s just as good if not better. A few things I really enjoy are the graphics (PS5 with 4K HDR TV), atmosphere of each individual region, soundtrack (changes in each region as well), ability to stray from the main quest and do literally anything from side quests to fishing, to dungeons, to crafting. I also love that this game is constantly coming out with new major expansions that add a ton of things to the game so you will essentially never get bored if you set your heart on it. Gameplay is very smooth and there’s almost no lag, at least nothing game breaking or immersion killing, same with bugs. Reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because this game is very massive, and I tend to get overwhelmed sometimes with how many things I need to do and because of this I end up deleting the game to play something else for a few months to then return to playing ESO. This happens all the time for me so you might find yourself playing for months at a time, but then end up leaving the game for several months to return and continue where you left off. It’s a game that you will need to grind in the beginning to really take advantage and feel good in-game, events are always going on and I feel like you need to either grind really hard or pay actual dollars to buy crates to get that specific costume or mount which is a bummer. For these reasons that’s why I recommend to wait for a bundle sale because once you buy the game your only going to pay more as expansions are released or special events happen. Overall, I think this game is fun and will suck lots of hours out of you. If your ever in Tamriel, look me up its “keeterism” and say hello.

Honest Review I dodged this game for the longest time, never had any interest in it mainly because I wasn’t a fan of the idea of robot dinosaurs. I finally gave this game a go after I heard it was getting a sequel and it looked pretty good so wanted to play and finish the first game to be up to date with the story. The game is great, the combat mechanics are fluid and simple, the graphics are great especially for its time, soundtrack and atmosphere all there too. The storyline is pretty interesting, side quests are good too wasn’t a huge fan of anything else really. My main likes are the story, side quests, tall neck excursions, and just exploring the big world. As good as the games were though after I was finished playing the story I didn’t have the feeling to play anymore or even try new game plus. I feel like this is a one-time play through type game so really take your time with it and enjoy the world, I’ll probably wait for a good sale to play the sequel as I think it will be the same kind of thing just different location and story.

Honest Review I’ve had this game in my backlog for a long time, been keeping up with the updates waiting for a good time to play the story mode “Wintermute”. I just recently got the new Steam Deck and this game was one of my top choices, it works very well on it. The game is beautiful, both atmospherically and graphically. The big open world has plenty of things to do and places to explore. The storyline is a slow burning fire which is perfect for the type of game this is, not your average game. My only gripe is that this game is many years old now and they still haven’t implemented changing difficulties during mid-run on the story mode. When I first started the story, I played normal mode and for some reason I always died right at the beginning (I suck) so I changed it to easy. Now being 2 episodes deep, I’ve noticed it’s too easy. Animals don’t attack you and snow storms rarely happen, a big part of the fun is missing on easy mode. I don’t want to restart so I’m forced to play all the episodes on easy mode which is a bummer because I think this game would be way more immersive and fun if the animals actually attacked you. Overall I still highly recommend this game, but please don’t play on the easy mode. The game is spouse to be played on “Normal” mode not the easiest, a lot of the key fun elements to the game are missing if you play on easy mode.

Honest Review I purchased this game after completing Sinking City which is another great game from Frogwares. Anyways the overall game so far (I’m about 5 hours in) is a breath of fresh air, coming from a dark and horror inspired Sinking City. From dark to light, beautiful locations, intriguing soundtrack, great atmosphere. The graphics are mostly great, some facial hair looks bad but overall really good. Gameplay is smooth on PS5, combat is a little tricky if your trying not to kill anyone but a nice challenge. The story is great so far I’m not too far into the story just mostly doing side cases and every case is different and fun to do so plenty to do around. I think the map is a little bigger then Sinking City’s so that’s also a plus. In conclusion I think this game is a solid 4/5 and would recommend anyone who was a fan of Sinking City or is a fan of Sherlock Holmes.

Honest Review For starters, it’s a free game so that’s worth at least a star. Another star because this game is fun and has lots of potential. A third star because I like the concept of the game where you can customize your character and go loot places and not even kill anyone if you don’t want to. What I don’t like about this game is there is not enough game modes to play, there’s only 3 and the game has been out for a while now. It can get very repetitive after a while. I also don’t like that you need to pay gold to increase loot/better crate rather then it being random, I feel like most of the time people are too cheap to want to increase loot and it’s not fair to the person who is purchasing the boosters and then dying 5 minutes into the game. Matchmaking is broken, it can feel like COD at times but you don’t respawn so you lose all your stuff and your 5 minute game is over. Overall I think this game is good but can be better, hopefully with future updates.

Honest Review I love medieval times and I really want to give this game a 5 stars because the storyline/quests are really good followed by pretty good graphics...BUT There are many problems with this game still do this day (Fall 2021). For starters, If you own a horse and use that to get around a lot of the graphics won’t load up right away so you get really choppy looks for a bit until everything loads in... this can happen on foot as well if you use fast travel. Secondly, the combat mechanics are really bad. I understand it’s spouse to be “realistic” but it’s way past that. I have a full set of heavy armour and a sword and I will die from a peasant in rags wielding a wooden club, apparently even the peasants know how to fight and block as if they have been trained by the kings guards. On top of that if your ever ambushed by 4 or more bandits the chances of you surviving is next to none unless you run. I wish this game had a game difficulty where you can actually enjoy the game without fearing death at every corner, this isn’t spouse to be a souls game. I had to use a cheat to get past a major storyline quest, without it I would not be able to progress the story and the story is really good. Getting gold in the game is a slow slow slog, not rewarding at all. There’s a whole DLC about building a village and I can’t enjoy it because I need thousands of gold which would take me months to get... again it’s “realistic” a little too much. I play games to escape reality and this is almost like working for your money in life but in game.. not cool. Lastly there a few game bugs, a couple which interfere with some side quests hopefully those have patched with the Royal edition. In conclusion, the game is good when it comes to storyline. The atmosphere is there and the graphics are pretty good for it’s time but there’s a list of some major issues that if your not a hardcore gamer like me then you will be disappointed at one point. Hardcore gamers would love this probably because they don’t mind grinding for days and days but I don’t get that much time to play so for me it’s really hard to enjoy. If you do want to try this, buy it on sale.

Praise the Madness I’ve never really enjoyed Dark Souls, Bloodborne or Sekiro, so my expectations for this game was pretty low. Ironically it was my first ever PS5 pre-order because I wanted a deep fantasy rpg game with an open world concept, this game delivered in every manner and exceeded my expectations ten-fold. I’ll start off with the bad and the obvious, the game is really hard if you haven’t played/enjoyed Dark Souls. You die a lot and you lose your runes all the time which is very frustrating, double jumping on your steed to avoid fall damage is sketchy and almost always results in death, bosses are notoriously difficult and requires skill, good weapon, good armour, spirit summoning, and online player if you can. Even with all the bad, the game is still a masterpiece. The graphics are amazing, atmosphere is good, music is good, story is good, rpg element is good, the list goes on. I recommend to watch YouTube videos on starting off, it helps tremendously. Another thing I have to say is a huge plus to this game is the adventure and uncertainty. I love travelling around this huge map and discovering secrets, some are just jaw-dropping and makes me think I’m in another game in itself its so big. I also love the uncertainty that you could die literally around the corner, random events trigger all the time and if you don’t have your steed ready its game over for you. If you like a challenge and also enjoy the feeling of accomplishment then I strongly urge you to try Elden Ring, if your not a fan of the DS, then I suggest waiting for a sale because not only will you save some money but a bunch of patches will come out and improve the overall game. Oh and one more thing, “try fingers but hole”.

Honest Review If I could give this game 4.5 I would, it’s nearly a solid 5. I’m reviewing the PS5 Director’s Edition. I have a 4K HDR10 tv and this game looks amazing to say the least. I had very high expectations for this game and have been waiting to play for almost 8 years and the wait was worth every penny. The storyline is intriguing and well thought out. The Atmosphere is 100% spot on, love the mood, the lighting, the shadows, the overall graphics except for a handful of areas like the beaches. Most of the game looks amazing but you do notice the odd graphic decrease and I’m playing in Resolution Mode. Gameplay is solid and very fun, the rpg elements are there and makes New Game Plus worth trying out. To sum it up; Pros: Storyline, Graphics, Atmosphere, Soundtrack, Side Stuff (side missions, collectibles, etc), FPS, Bug-Free (except for very minor ones, rare). Cons: Beachside Graphics look noticeably lower then the rest of the game and Japanese option is not that fun other then playing through the Story. I tried to play the Japanese option to fully immerse myself in the experience but I can’t understand NPC conversations as there are no subtitles so you miss out on a lot of eavesdropping, for that reason alone I play the English version so I can understand everything that this game has to offer.

Honest Review I bought this game on sale for like 20$, I wasn’t a huge fan of the game for base PS4 but for PS5 with 4K tv it makes a big difference. I upgraded to the gold edition and I have to say the game feels more “complete”, yes it’s still a janky mix at times but overall the positives outweigh the negatives. I like the story, it’s definitely intriguing and gives me low-key Witcher vibes which is a plus for me. The graphics are pretty good especially the environment, and the sense of adventure is totally there which is the main reason I bought this game. I also enjoy the atmosphere and soundtrack, which plays an important part in the game. I really enjoy the fact you can be so many styles of play which makes this game a replay-able experience, combat feels pretty good mostly. I don’t like that you can’t change your appearance after you create your character, what if you started off with a beard and realized a few hours deep that you actually didn’t want the beard after all? It sucks that your forced to have the same face for the entire game so make sure you really like your characters look. I also don’t like how your cape hovers over your body a bit and doesn’t look like a natural cape but that’s a small detail. Overall I think this game is good, even at full price I think it’s worth it. It’s a big open world RPG with plenty of choices and ways to accomplish stuff, not everything needs to be solved with death which I like. Oh and Greedfall 2 has been announced so play this game first so your ready for the sequel if you enjoyed this game.
