I think this is an extremely powerful and moving drama.
Unfortunately it shows the stereotyping of black men in America by police officers.
I don't think it helps in a way that a group of black men then go in to a police station all guns blazing which kind of supports the stereotyping it's trying to avoid.
I'm not afraid to say that this film reduced me to emotional tears in more than one occasion and I felt for the black father having his son needlessly killed by an over the top white officer. I felt his passion.
Now after watching this film I really wanted to write a review on the film and how badly blacks are treated in America by the police force. But then I started reading other reviews. It's surprising how many were racist in a different way. "if you are white you have to... ". Why? The actions of individuals can be shameful no matter what colour your skin is. Stop mentioning and stereotyping by colour in all walks of life. It will ease the hate on both sides. Hatred comes in all colours by shallow minded individuals.
I've given this film a 5 for its message and delivery.
My question is why? Are you stereotyping all white people? How dare yih.
I'm not ashamed to be white as much as some people aren't ashamed to be black. I'm ashamed of the behaviour of some white people and I'm ashamed by the actions of some black people
