Contrary to popular belief that sequels rarely live up to the glory of the original, this film lives up to and possibly exceeds the expectations built up by the first Tremors films. There is very little to complain about for this film- as an avid B-rated horror film watcher this movie checks all the boxes. It expands the Graboid lore without disrupting the suspension of disbelief. The practical effects are just as amazing as the first Tremors. The humor in this film is possibly better than the first, just as lighthearted and endearing to the characters. Grady Hoover makes for great comedic relief. Worth the watch, without a critical eye. The whole point of Tremors is it's ability to lovingly play into the B-rated genre, it's a special mix that's meant to be enjoyed and not picked apart.

This movie is the movie. The pacing is fantastic, leaving you on the edge of your seat well through the climactic moments and through to the very end. This is anecdotal, but this film is what cultivated my love of science fiction and B-rated horror/thriller films- they don't make B-rated movies like Tremors anymore. Now in 2024, looking back at films like Tremors reaffirms the idea that films are just cash grabs to creators. The people who created Tremors had an idea they really wanted to execute right, and it shows. This is a fun movie to watch, and makes for a great monster marathon as there are plenty more Tremors films to fill an entire day.
