This is one of those films that it is more about the people and writing than the plot. The plot is about Fred, the son of a lawyer, who seems to be not taken seriously. He has crippling back pain. He starts dating a client looking to divorce. He also starts getting acupuncture to help his back. The needles play a tune while they are in his back which has an amusing sub-plot ending in his back playing in a five piece band. Not much is made of his musical back but it is more in the background. Overall I really enjoyed this film. Its a nice gentle comedy drama. Paul Lieberstein (who plays Fred and also played Toby in The Office) really is an underestimated actor. You really do feel his pain and frustration. Anyone who has suffered from chronic back pain will really sympathise with him and his back going at the worst times.

This film tells the story of teenage physic genius who invents a time machine to go back in time and fix his relationship with his girlfriend to stop her splitting up with him. The first half of the film is your classic going back in time and trying to fix something and failing. There are plenty of comic moments with his friend Skyler Gisondo who I think steals the film. Once he succeeds the film takes quite an unexpected sinister and possibly unintentional turn. Overall this is a good film about time travel with some laugh out loud moments. Well worth a watch.
