I can not advise any fan of racing games to buy this, It's absolute trash. This was the first new EA game i have purchased in about 6 years. I did buy used copies of the other titles. Now its not as bad as some of the other garbage they have published, such as all the Ps4 NFS games before this one. I need to go back as far as Hot pursuit 2 on Ps3 as what I may have been hoping for in spirit. For four hours I have tried to play this game, on and off. The music, storytelling, and voice actors are beyond annoying. I immediately turned the music volume to zero, still did not help the overall experience. The police canned lines are just the worst. The cut scenes just between the races are obnoxious as well. Think of Austin Powers at Glamour Shots with the flu, because now I just feel sick looking at it. Graphics look dated and all menus are counter intuitive. I have aPS4 Pro and it scaled as slow as my Switch! Why can't I really adjust the camera height? Nothing about this game held me for more than a few minutes at a time. I kept pondering why does it rain so much in this game? Either it was sprinkling or a full downpour every time I played. Rain is the best when it comes to driving or racing for that matter. Daytime you are routinely blinded by the sun, during a down pour mind you, and at night the markers reminded of Rainbow road and were of little use in actually letting me know to turn, and then poof, they were gone. No consistency is a real problem it appears. And the obscene amount of trees, telephone poles, and obstructions really take away from the experience even more than you could imagine. The high risk, low reward of this type of currency system implemented really made me turn off the game faster than my investment in the game would lead me to. I though I was getting a good deal, but, it was really a bum deal. Buyer beware. EA continues to publish trash!
