So follows semi-same formula of Pokemon e.g. Catch them all, battle gyms, defeat Champion. Switched it up with SPOILERS AHEAD [Scroll Down]:
bad guys not really being bad and or posing a threat Team Star. Like the horde battles in Team Star bases. Fun to explore open world and not being blocked by npc or object.
Still quite buggy not as bad for myself but watching others all I can say is YIKES. Textures better than Sword and Shield for open world overall, still could use improvement. Some new Pokemon designs and shiny colours are nice to look at e.g. Ceruledge, Meowscarada, Skeledirge, Oinkologne, Kilowattrel and more. Maybe would have been better with all new Pokemon and adding in limited number of old mons in DLC or a patch later on for first time players. Interesting twist at the end with Professor. Painfully easy to beat main storyline, not much of a challenge only struggled with Fairy Gym. Would have liked the option to use main Legendary in battle as well as riding without having to switch it manually. Wasn't overly interested in "Treasure Hunt" theme. Liked the rival characters of Nemona and Arven in similar style to anime dynamic that they travel like you do and you help them/battle them when meeting. Don't like Terastallising design, makes mons look to goofy but like the idea of it turning mons into mono-type from dual type but is too similar to Mega-Evolution/Dynamax/Z-Moves that has come before. Sad customisation was removed for character model for older players like myself who doesn't necessarily want character to look like they're 8 years old. Liked the Titan battles and that they unlocked equivalent of HM abilities. Like that they kept the removal of HMs still. Sad no new battle style of unique proportions was introduced e.g. like rotation battles, triple battles, battle royale etc. Sad no outside battling catching like Legends Arceus. Sad no Battle Frontier type challenge, I know Team Star Bases get a revamp but prefer Battle Frontier type things as personal preference. Like rebattling Gyms etc. Like League Points. Dislike so few trainers throughout world. Like Pokemon semi-follow you when auto-battling. Like the idea of crafting your TMs with materials gained from autobattling/gifted instead of very hard and tedious mini-games to get coins from Game Corner looking at you Voltorb Flip. Liked the idea of multiplayer interaction. Never used picnics - prefer daycare breeding. Like Pokedex rewards as incentive to complete. Love new forms of Pokemon. Overall my judgement is it is a good game but can be improved as less post-game content than I'd like but I reserve judgement until I know the DLC, as Sword and Shield Tundra DLC I quite enjoyed, Isle of Armor not so much.
