I read a lot of the reviews because I wanted to understand the film a bit more. I picked up on the depiction by the director of modern life suburbia and how "cookie cutter" it may seem. The mundane life of living for the sake of living. Getting caught up in "gf, wife, house, kid, death" trap of life. A simple thing: the pictures on the wall are of the same house. Think about the pictures on your wall, they are of you, the SAME people. It makes you question the things you do. Another example: "are you going back to digging?" It's talking about a job. And how your job is killing you rather than making you more alive.
It can be scary to think about all of these things on a psychological level. But for those of us that have gotten through these questions in life And have a purpose for doing what we do this movie serves as a reminder to stick to those purposes. Don't just do life to do life.
Live, love, laugh, hurt, cry, smile, care, and do everything else that makes us the most interesting creatures on this earth.
I give it one star because it is a movie to criticize the mundane life of people but didn't give Any real answers. It wants to be a deep movie but leaves more to be desired. Give us answers too. Not just criticize the state of humanity.
