I was hesitant but this cast and excellent writing have won me over. This is by far my favorite thing marvel has put out in years! The episodes are tight, and they balance camp with drama perfectly. Can't wait for the final two episodes!

First - all the reviews obsessing over "wokeness" and the horror of gays on their screen need to stop flaunting their bigotry on main. This show has bigger problems. As a huge original Orphan Black fan, I was excited for this, even though the casting of Krystan Ritter made me worry. Unfortunately, the writing and pacing made it so dull I quite after two episodes. Even though it's 30 years in the future apparently a wanted woman can just walk around without being picked up on any digital surveillance for 2 years. Also fashion, phones, guns, and car design haven't changed at all. There's no real suspense. She casually brings her boyfriend back to the lab she escaped from with zero concern for being found there. Motivations are shallow at best, and a show like this requires an evil villian with conviction. Here the villian is maybe Kira - who seems tortured, guilty, and on the verge of a nervous breakdown from the start. Really disappointed. Gonna rewatch Tatiana instead.

Ignore all the extremely racist and misogynist 1 star reviews, this show is bad all on its own! There is no chemistry between these bleak characters. And worse, imo, no plot. If the tasks they were given made any sense, were clever in any way, or were executed with any level of competence, I might have kept watching. But these two characters were the opposite of smooth professionals, their tasks (quests? missions? pranks?) seemed to be generated by chat GPT, and their banter written by someone in middle school. Disappointed.

The actors tried so very very hard to make this film work but the writing and plot were absolutely unbearable. We get a first person female protagonist who is ultimately undercut as we discover she has been a figment of a lonely man's imagination the whole time - someone he saw once and obsessed over as a way to give his life meaning, taking the "women in film exist to motivate the men" to a whole other level. Beyond the misogyny it was just exquisitely painful writing and directing. Pretentious and exhausting, the pacing felt like wading through a frozen lake. By the finale I was thinking of ending things myself.
