The people who call this amazing storytelling, are illiterate, unread troglodytes who likely thought trash like UNTIL DAWN was a literally striking masterpiece. The writing is weak and unnatural more like Hollywood than anything resembling reality, and not in a stylized nor interesting way. The whole game in my opinion is a blemish to the franchise, which should have stayed true to the spirit of the game like the Silent Hill 2 remake did so well. If the game has been a stand alone game, a game claiming no affiliation with the Silent Hill franchise, well then in that case this game would have been- Still bad. The gameplay is stilted, repetitive, and annoying considering the control scheme is unnatural and the biggest problem - the CAMERA. The camera is the hardest enemy in this game because the devs didn’t know how to place it. It’s claustrophobic making combat no fun at all, just frustrating as you sit there wishing you could press the developers faces to the screen and demand a fucking explanation- then a refund. Don’t pay money for this. Watching someone else play it is your best and only hope of enjoyment with this misguided train wreck. Buy the silent hill 2 remake and a ps2 copy of the original and avoid this cash grab dumpster fire.

Honestly, I enjoy almost everything about this well enough. The constant blatant Babylonian and Luciferian occult symbolism is something all of Hollywood is doing since they’re all obsessed with everything occult being the repugnant putrid people they are. But I think we’re all used to that and just expect that everything we watch is going to talk about resurrecting demons or the antichrist or some sick shit, so you know- whatever, just write a GOOD STORY. Usually they can’t even do that anymore. That said, this story is not bad, the animation is a bit jerky and lazy but the art and style is genuinely great. The cast is almost all excellent. Almost. EXCEPT Allen Maldonado as Zip. Holy shit this guy is the most horrible overacting miserably talentless voice actor I’ve literally ever heard & it’s so jarringly wrong for the overall tone and such a striking contrast to the rest of the cast that it runs the rest of the show for me. Every time I hear his voice, I want to piss on the television and the producer that allowed this ridiculous shit. This guy actually doesn’t even seem to know what show he’s voicing lines for. It’s as if he just heard “cartoon” and turned the childish stupidity up to ten and in doing so seems almost like an offensive stereotype rather than a genuine character. It’s like he thought his character was supposed to be the love child of Jar Jar Binks and a Powerpuff Girl. For the love of God, fire this guy before you do another season, he’s bringing down the entire production.
