Matilda Book Review Imagine having parents that think you are an idiot! Matilda is a humor fantasy novel, written by British author Roald Dahl, published in 1988. It has since then won several awards, and two film adaptations have been released in 1996, and 2022. The setting of the story is in a small village in England. This book follows the protagonist Matilda on a journey to do good things with her newfound super power. Matilda is entertaining and humorous, suitable for anyone who is seeking inspiration. El Deafo Book Review Do you have a hard time making friends? El Deafo is a humorous comic written by Cece Bell, published in 2014.It earned a Newberry award in 2015. The storyline follows the main character Cece, who becomes deaf on a journey to finding out more about her secret superpower. Cece moves into a new neighborhood and faces the challenges of making new friends. This book aims to help the readers find out that being different isn't a flaw, and it is suitable for children ages six and up. The illustrations are cute, colorful and have a cartoony style. It's an enjoyable and relatable book that is easy to read. I would definitely recommend this book. I rate it 100 out of 10. Written on March 27, 2025 by Zoe Lee Aged 10.
