I watch everything from everywhere and, even today, USA would never touch this realistic/highly disturbing film topic in such an over the top/in your face manner. This film is definitely worth viewing and, yes, it creates dialogue wherever one is from. I'm never shocked but now I can say that I was shocked. The film could have been about 15 minutes shorter.
