I don't even know why people listen to critic reviews. No the movie was not a citizen Kane. However if you use your imagination with the story. Don't expect CGI and modern effects it was good. Critics r just over hyped pointless people. I think recent years and movie reviews compared to audience score for movies like five nights at Freddy's has proven how pointless of a job they do. We are not all looking for ifc style artsy film. Most people just want to escape reality for a couple hours. We don't need hacks who couldn't make it the movie industry after film school telling what's good and what's not. It was an average but entertaining film. That is good ilenough for the average person. Even if not for film school reject snobs. That are still fixated on Wells.

The movie is fun for the entire family. The critics seem to have made up their minds it was going be bad. Because of the negative reviews I regretfully did not take my kids to the movie theater to see it. I will be correcting that asap. My kids already watched it 5 times on peacock. They actually put their devices down to watch the movie.
