It sucks big time. A contrived self-undulgent mess that the actors may have looked at as a paid vacation. Don't waste your time.

CC is a Junior High level version of Reba, without the strong talent of Reba McEntire, the generally solid writing, and reliable supporting cast. The child actors in CC are so artificial, it hurts. Who writes their lines? Sorry, that's my view.

Sadly, this movie IS as bad as its negative reviews would indicate. The script, language, and overall premise of the film -- are what they are -- dismal. Even the talented Ms. Barrymore could not breath any life or fun into this project. What was she thinking when she agreed to do this -- was she black mailed? She doesn't need the pay check. What a waste.

What - "serious" movie critics would have to turn in their 'critic badge' for admitting this movie is a glorious and magical re-imaging of the stage musical? More than one critic scoffs at cats wearing hats, or doing magic with a "cat sized" fork, and dancing cockroaches with human faces. Oh get OVER it. Are all critics now 4 years old and can't suspend belief and just enjoy the magic?? The actors are wonderful, bringing new life and human emotion to the characters. The dancing is Hollywood quality, and of course the fabulous music is Lloyd Weber. Critics don't seem to have the same problem with flying super heros, web swinging spider men, or even ghosts that appear on Christmas Eve to Ebinezer. Loosen up chumps.
