as a nonbinary, bisexual individual this show has DEFINITELY brought out great representation for those of the LGBTQ+ community not to mention it helps minorities to be seen and heard. It helps people realize the day-to-day troubles POC and LGBTQ+ youth and people in general experience. It helps the watchers understand what minorities have to deal with. Like how much parents have to go through, more of single moms and how much children have to deal with in this new day and age. It brings light and helps people solve certain issues as you can see the main character Penelope suffers with Anxiety, PTSD, and Depression while working a job and taking care of her two kids..it shows that no matter what, family will always be there for you, either that family be by blood or not.
