First off, the brief synopsis is half wrong. The shop manager runs this location in his father's chain of autoshops and is very much alive. The shop is underperforming and Will tries his best to come up with ideas to boost sales and impress his father. His employee/cousin Shane constantly makes fun of Will, but still does his best to save the shop. Anyone who has worked in a trade or retail job will find this relatable and funny. The jokes aren't for everyone but being familiar with Gilly and Keeve's comedy knows what they're getting and will be happy with the first season of Tires.
