Sadly, this movie felt like every other spin off of a bad comedy. There’s no real clear storyline, but a very confused script obviously written by a clearly drunk man to his friends, on a Friday night for a quick laugh. (I would personally have put the script in the bin sat morning). Nothing really makes sense and the characters are a bad caricature of their past selves. All the characters are underdeveloped and silly; you just can’t believe anything they do and say. I was almost expecting a guy with a cardboard sign saying: please laugh, and a background of drum rolls. In the movie, every time a new character appears, he quickly goes away without too much explanations. Delia is now a narcissistic step-mother; she’s far from the over the top wild artist she used to be; she’s a hyperbolic image of her past self, with no background story. Like i would ask a 5 years old to do a self absorb woman, she would come up with the same character. The CGI was real bad and there was no reference to the wizard of Oz (home home home) and why it’s with the number 3, or any back story that could make you connect to the characters a little better. Don’t get me started with the silly ending or the cheap Chucky baby.. People who like this type of movie are used to cheap comedy and are not too difficult when it comes to storylines and morals. Monica’s character was ill suited for the movie and was completely irrelevant to the plot. A lot of corners were cut. Jenna did a good job at acting and Danny Elfman made the movie tolerable. (The first soundtrack was original and better in my opinion). I really enjoyed previous Tim films, this one not so much.. 2/10
