I really like that all of the issues were really put out on the table. So many critics said it was awkward or poorly done, but the state of the affairs of race in the United States of America is both simple (slavery still affects EVERYONE), and complicated (a lot of people can't handle race issues in this country).
And I must say, for once the always overdoing-it, modern day "Blackspert" Jonah Hill must be commended for starring in a movie that laid bare issues about/between Jewish and Black people in America without necessarily resolving them (safe for the wedding between this lovely young couple that wanted to make a marriage work ). Good for Jonah. This is the only movie with him in it that I ever liked. Thank you Kenya Barris for a fun insightful movie with a superbly chosen cast.
