My husband and I have been avid watchers of Meet the Press for many years. Probably not in the future unless things change. We could tell Chuck Todd was fatigued at the end of his tenure when he increasingly talked over his guests during interviews. He would also drop his voice speaking extremely fast and low so that he could not be heard. Now Kristen Welker is driving us away by continuing to talk over the guests. She seems driven to make points with gotcha questions to prove herself. She’s a proven professional and she’d be better off just asking better questions and listening. The new format of long interviews with candidates polling in small numbers would better be replaced with more time given to the always excellent panel discussions.
