sadly the most distressing thing about watching this show was how terrible the police officers were investigating the crime both times. The girls never stood a chance of justice! The lack of investigative organization, attitudes about how to conduct criminal police investigation, forensic analysis, and in the second investigation the absence of the knowledge and use of available technology was similar to the ineptness of the Yorkshire Ripper investigation. Not so much has changed in 2023 in real life UK. We have multiple police crimes of raping and murdering women which has gone unchecked for years. RIP Sarah Everard. Until there are more senior women criminal investigators and more male police men vetted and undergoing ie detector tests annually, or not hired at all, killing women and girls with impunity will never stop.
