Spoiler free part: I enjoyed Brave New World. I think Anthony Mackie is doing great as Cap. No, he's not Steve/Chris, but I feel they used that and brought it into the film. I think Harrison Ford did great as President Thaddeus Ross. Ford, like Cap, taking up a previously played role and he is different, but I liked it. I do feel these two characters and actors really matched and worked great together. Cap and the new Falcon work well. I like they made Joaquin Torres the techy guy, and energetic. He's a fan and wants to live up to Sam like Sam wants to live up to Steve. I wish admit...wish his super identity wasn't so similar to Sam. I have the same issue with Thunderbolts being mostly the same but in a different color (Buck blue, USAgent black, and Red Guardian red). I am aware it's the same in comics. I guess I just wish he had different "wings" though the only alternative coming to mind is a goblin glider ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ. It's honestly just a knickpick.
Spoiler part: I'm starting with what may/may not be a spoiler is the Leader. I know people knew but the film plays it as a reveal so I'm treating it like a spoiler. (I've been waiting since 2008 for him to return!!!!) He's characterized great, played great, but I do wish he was greener. Some parts he's grรฆyish, which could work since Hulk was at the start in comics. I do hope he appears again. Tim Blake Nelson is sinister. Not hammy, not boring, just right in my opinion. His plan is brilliant and direct (take notes Eisenlex) and nearly works. If Sabra hadn't helped Cap at the bunker
Speaking of Sabra, I think she needed a meatier part. She may have had one earlier and the reshoots cut it down. I do not know. She wasn't bad, and Shira Haas does good. Just feel she won't leave much of an impression.
The Serpent Society...okay. Would have prefered them to be more colorful and comicbooky, but I liked Sidewinder. GIancarlo Esposito is wonderful in everything he's in. I honestly wish they had been the Flag Smashers instead (the F&WS ones were all bland and felt like henchmen). Giancarlo Esposito appearing as Karl Morgenthau in the D+ show and just getting away at the end to lead to this film would have been good.
All in all, I left the theatre happy. I loved it. Would watch it again. Side-note, they should have already had a new Avengers film two or three years ago. Do wish that the postcredit was that, assembling a team over "Kang(s) will be arriving soon."
