If you lean left, you will find this show to be a happy place. It used to be a show for everyone, transcending tribal ideology. It would challenge, and inspire those across the political spectrum, but mostly it gave us stories that brought us together. It may be that the current writers think they are doing the same. If so, more is the pity. So if you want to be comforted or affirmed in a progressive world view, this show is for you.
