I rented it after reading the reviews because I thought it would be absolutely awful and I’d get a good laugh. Turns out I actually quite enjoyed it haha. It would’ve been better if it was a little more believable/possible as some of it had me rolling my eyes a little. And I’m sure the actors saved it quite a lot. But the characters are very likeable, especially when they’re working together on the island, and there are some pretty funny lines. Plus it’s shot very well. Definitely nowhere near as bad as I expected.

It normally takes me weeks or months to finish a book. I read this in three days. It’s hard to believe that those things actually happened, but even harder to believe someone could go through so much and still come out of it as a glass-half-full kind of person. What a man Henry Oster was. I would have loved to have met him. If you’re even considering it in the slightest, PLEASE get this book. It’s beyond eye opening and inspiring. You won’t regret it.
