I just got out of the theater. The movie felt lame and the writing felt cheap. They relied way too much on "funny" one liners. Despite my love for Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu, the villains were extremely one note and boring to watch. One of them even does the classic villain "no, No, NO" in a sad monotone voice during an important, serious scene.
The only parts I liked were the family coming together and the end fight scene with Billy.
The last scene with WW was disappointing. I could see it coming a mile away and it felt uncomfortable and the acting was terrible.
I would say it's a good film for kids, but, call me old-school, f*** probably isn't suited for 7 year olds. It felt like a kids movie, though. The only ones laughing in the theater were young children. A lady sitting beside me fell asleep about 30 minutes in and I can't really blame her.
