A Light Last Seen is an engaging journey of the life of Jaynie Highsmith from her younger years to early middle age. Grace Greene, the author, takes us through her years with her dysfunctional, yet loving, family, but also introduces us to the people in her life who became a deep part of her inner being. Through the author’s descriptions of the incidences and places in Jaynie’s life, the reader truly becomes a part of the heroine’s feelings, thoughts and experiences. This is a beautifully written book that will be hard to put down and will leave you wanting to read more from the author!! I’ve read all of Grace Greene’s books, and this one has become one of my favorites- exceptional writing and storytelling.
