Michelle Charlesworth

This is a narrative which indulges the author with little regard to the reader. Various plot lines finally intersect half way through the (rather hefty) novel. From half way onwards, it is an enjoyable, exciting read... followed by a thoroughly rushed, disappointing conclusion. It was almost as though the author declared "Right, Im at my word limit so I'll just summarise what happens to the characters." A huge anticlimax to what could have been a book with a VERY slow start but which redeemed itself in the second half. I'm disinclined to choose another by the same author.
