We had an elderly family member who'd been in The Great War. When he returned, he had "Shell Shock" and never spoke again.
All Quiet on the Western Front is cinematic perfection. Terrifyingly real, historically accurate and almost life-changing. Kudos to the cast and crew. They've raised the motion picture bar unreachably high.
