C L (The Big Empty)

Typical mouthy bantering between the sexes. He can’t do anything right and she knows it all and won’t shut up. Of there has to be a gay dude with a sob story about losing his family fortune simply because of who he loved. It’s a Disney movie, not a trip to San Francisco. I really wanted to like this movie, and of course D. Johnson is great, but I kept looking at my watch. The plot seems thin with many characters undeveloped. Even the bird. I kept hoping he’d rattle off some dark secret or reveal something funny. It was a missed opportunity. The cgi was pretty bad for Disney standard- all the money probably went to Mr. Johnson. Maybe I’ll watch it again when it hits Redbox. As of now, it just seems to fade into the “nice try” category. Maybe it’s just me. P.S. When are the German people going to protest always being typecast as the villains? Here’s the next big thing for people to get offended about :D
