I’m home fighting a nasty summer cold and turned this on not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised at the creative rewriting of an outplayed modern classic (Queen Mary/ Elizabeth). It includes an ethnically diverse cast- King Edward, Elizabeth, and many others are Black- without some forced explanation for it, which I love even more! The narrator is fantastic, and the narrative reflects the Catholic vs Protestant civil war with a mythical, fantastical, twist, making it an easy and fun watch- as long as you’re not comparing it to actual real life events (and why would you?! It’s total fiction!!!)
