So much potential to this story... They developed great tension on the ice, but that’s all that was developed... no plot or character development to be found. Unknown and seemingly omniscient bad guys want to kill everyone for reasons vs. unknown and seemingly omniscient bad guys that kidnap, kill, or enlist in their army? No questions get answered, and the the plot holes are bigger than the cracks in the magical ice that goes from cracking badly under 1 person one minute, to being able to hold 3 people in the next. Someone wrote in their review that it’s “pointless & depressing” and that’s the best summary there is for it.
