Hard to believe some the tales. My Father, James Esoce Hatcher, worked at East Texas Motor Freight Lines for about 25 years until his early death 1962. He was foreman of the trailer shop for many years. I use to hang out with him on Junius Street at the Quonset hut type buildings on Saturdays. My father was in charge of finishing out the new Dallas terminal about 1957. He hired me part time to help. I knew Red Johnson, who was extremely smart, but George Paschall was one the nicest guys ever. I went to work on the dock in 1960 par-time. I got on regular, thanks to George in 1961.I loved Belcher, but he was deathly afraid of the union. I worked there until 1982 when Bum Bright sold it because he couldn't run it under deregulation. I knew his son Bum junior (who just died last week- August 2020.
