Now Artemis Fowl is a great, book, but seeing the trailer back in 2018, I had a heart attack. Nearly all of the actors were good, but they were clearly not suited for their roles in the film. Butler is Europian and Asian ( If I remember correctly ). And the plot strays too far from the book. I mean I thought they were going to do something with the movie delayed but it seems just as bad. I can't give it more than a 2-star rating. And who had the bright idea of giving Artemis Fowl a sword and a gun?! Some more terrible ideas was that commander root is a man, who is always depicted with a cigar in his mouth. In the movie, Commander root is a woman, and just saying, not to be sexist, but that is disgusting. This honestly felt like a personal attack. A few last things are that in the book Artemis Fowl is a cruel person but will do anything to protect the people he knows. In the movie, he looks like an average rich boy teen who is just okay with a bunch of fairies raiding his mansion. In the book, nobody goes for a full-on assault on the house. That just breaks one of the fairy rules. Also, Artemis Fowl, in the entire series, I think has only taken down a bad guy, once with his two hands in hand to hand combat.
