I remember seeing the 1954 Pinocchio and being so fascinated by the wooden boy. It was undoubtedly one of my favorite movies. I recently watched Jon solos break down of the book and soon after. This movie popped up on my Netflix account. From the start of the movie, it will move you ! The story goes much deeper , while also taking lots of ques from the book. It also gives new life to the characters. It shows the world of Pinocchio in a beautifully tragic way. Giving more meaning to his creation and really showing the dinamic between the bonds of him and his 'family'..
