Alrighty then... PG apparently is not safe anymore. I am NOT a super conservative type parent when it comes to movies. Blood magic with kids cutting themselves and pressing the blood onto a pentagram in a spell book, the demon Azazel with a super creepy couple of appearances, very creepy shapeshifting movements akin to that of Samara in The Ring, dolls that come to life and attack, and the overall feel of the movie was definitely too much for my 4 AND 8 year old. Yes folks, we're talking tears before bed out of fear. Keep the kiddos away. It wasn't just the things that unfolded, it was the overly dark tinge to it all. Even Jack Black couldn't bring enough brevity to make this appropriate for kids. I guess I should've known since it was Eli Roth. Maybe the scares were meant to distract from the lackluster way the movie plot unfolded. Either way, not worth it for kids or adults.
