Nice attempt to facelift an old story that was a line of cliche episodes. Some character(s) are completely unnecessary for the story flow, but they are inserted just to fill the minority number. If this isn't happening on pretty much all shows I watch these days, it would be OK, but now it's just on a level of North Korean propagandists shouting the same story from loudspeakers (only a different agenda). Bring balance in the story back, or you are heading the Star Wars way FAST.
