The Last Kingdom is the epitome of good entertainment, filled with characters you come to care about and some you will truly dislike. Uthred's journey from age eleven into his 60's is filled with the women he loves and men who become like brothers fighting by his side. Through it all is Uthred's unending search for a return to his home of Bebbanburgh. I love this series and look forward to the movie that will encompass the last three books of the series.
