I enjoyed the movie, but the appearance of the film was atrocious, meaning it was filmed in darkness without in set lighting! I've never seen the original so the storyline was new to me. If I had looked up the meaning of the word 'beguile' I would have been more prepared for the direction the story took. As it was, it was a complete shock to me! And it's one thing for the young women to be taken in, but Edwina's behavior made her look downright delusional! I agree with other reviewers that character development was sorely lacking.
