The description doesn't match the film. There is NO one named Charles and there's no one infected with the HIV virus in this movie. This film is about a psychic vampire who, after death, is able to drain energy from living people. A timid high school student is sent to spend the night in a mausoleum so she can join a pack of girls who call themselves "The Sisters". What they don't know is that the psychic vampire, named Raymar, has been buried within this same mausoleum. The last half hour of this film is the best part. That's when Raymar "wakes up" and uses his energy to release corpses upon the girls in the mausoleum. Also, look for Adam West in a non-Batman role at times during the film. While the film claims to be rated PG (Parental Guidance), it has enough gross stuff and some gory moments that should really give it an R (Restricted) rating.

This movie is pretty enjoyable in my opinion. I love the storyline, the cast, and, of course, the cat himself. That said, the only issue I have is the MPAA rating. Supposedly, this film is rated G. Perhaps, in 1978, the content shown was suitable for all audiences. Today, this could easily pass for a PG rating, if not PG-13. Violence --- (1) Jake (without his collar) attacks a military man driving a jeep and we see the cat biting and clawing his face up-close! Fortunately, we don't see the results of this attack (otherwise, it would have been rated R and Walt Disney could never have made the film). (2) The secret agent falls into a dumpster and is literally "thrown out with the trash" as he winds up inside the garbage truck. Intense scenes --- (1) The opening where the farmer sees the spacecraft for the first time and is upset with finding this discovery. (2) General Stilton and his men attempt to arrest Frank and his friends before Jake freezes them. In a similar scene, Jake freezes a man with a dog at the army base before the violent scenes listed above occur. (3) The main villain and his henchmen hold Frank's friends for ransom and won't release them unless they get Jake's collar. (4) The big climactic chase scene is very intense. Two moments, in particular, are especially intense. In the first, Frank briefly holds on for dear life when Jake flips the plane upside down for several seconds. In the second, the villains open fire at Frank's plane in attempts to kill him...although they fortunately miss. Objectionable content --- (1) General Stilton's shirt reveals an attractive woman in revealing attire after his uniform is taken by Frank. In my opinion, this is a film that deserves a PG-13 rating. Disagree all you want. I'm not changing my opinion just because people want to believe it's a family-friendly film with nothing bad in it.

As far as movies of the horror genre go, THE FOG is easily the best one I've seen. I have seen the remake (2005), but I didn't like it all that much, aside from a couple of good scenes. What's odd is that the remake is rated PG-13 while the 1980 version has an R rating. What makes it odd is that the remake is much more violent and disturbing than the original film. If I had been in charge of rating films, the original film would be rated PG (only because the PG-13 rating had not yet existed at the time) while the remake would likely be rated R. Enough about my ratings rant. The movie itself is very creepy and scary without going over the top. There's NO blood at all, so that's a bonus for me. I like scary movies that refrain from showing much blood...in short, I'd rather be scared when watching a movie instead of keeping a bucket beside me for obvious reasons. A fog bank that goes against the wind...creepy ghosts that weld hooks, daggers, and swords...very good cinematography...what's not to like? Then again, hardcore horror fans that like getting sick when watching horror movies may wish to avoid this film since they're not likely to be satisfied. But, for sensitive people like me, this is a winner.

While most reviews are concerned about the number of animals killed during the making of this film, I, for one, enjoyed the movie as a whole. A few scenes were sad...the most dramatic for me was when Milo was stuck in the pit before Otis got him out. But, all in all, this was a very cute movie and the two lead animals certainly had some adventures. I've not seen the original Japanese version, only the English version. I give it 8 out of 10 stars.

NAKED ATTRACTION is okay, I guess. I've seen only a few episodes, so far, but the thing that bothers me is that the person doing the choosing has to eliminate five out of six potential partners and only take one of them out on a date simply based on their physical appearances. Often, most of those who are sent home are some of the best ones that should have been picked for a date. I feel like it's really unfair to them that they get sent home because of a few flaws on their bodies or their voices are not perfect or whatever. I could never be on this show since it would be impossible for me to say goodbye to any of six potential partners. I would want to date one of them at a time...get to know each one...and see which one would be the most compatible for me. This way, I would decide which one to keep based on her personality and not on her body shape or something. That's the one big problem I have with this show. Like I said, it's okay.
