I really enjoyed this book and would definitely read it again, but I’m not sure I’m interested in continuing with a second book or more. Based on the first, it doesn’t feel like there’s much left to explore. I was a bit surprised to see the main characters already in a relationship, as it didn’t seem like much time had passed between them, I would’ve personally liked to see more growth there.
Effy’s past and hardships were written beautifully, and there’s strong character development throughout the story. However, there were a few areas that felt a little lacking to me. Still, the atmosphere, emotion, and writing style made it an engaging and memorable read overall.
