Madden 24 is officially the last Madden i'm playing.
I've bought the game every year since madden 12. Luckily this year I didn't even buy it.
I used my ultimate game pass to use the free trial. An hour was all I needed.
I've never in my life played a game that was so blatantly copy and paste from the previous YEARS not one year but YEARS.
From the boot up screen, to franchise mode, to presentation, to commentary. It's the SAME game with minor tweaks.
I had hope for madden when the next gen consoles came out, thinking this would be the turning point.
Obviously I was wrong.
When you're paying $70 for a different game you deserve a DIFFERENT game. We have been paying 60-70 bucks a year for a roster update since madden 17. This is insane.
EA has heard the feedback, and trust me they know. Why would they care though when they have a monopoly on the NFL.
People think complaining to EA will do something and it's hysterical.
It would take executives from the NFL to break the contract with EA so a company like 2K can come in and compete.
That's the only reason why EA would TRY to make a good football game.
Thanks to all the ultimate team losers who come in every year and spend their 9 to 5 money on packs, people like me who care about franchise and gameplay don't stand a chance boycotting them.
Those nerds spend 1000s of dollars each year on ultimate team so why would someone like me who spends 70 dollars just for franchise and head to head bother boycotting expecting something to change?
There's only one way to get an up to date football game, and that's by the NFL breaking the contract.
Even MLB The Show is lightyears ahead of EA and that's saying something. They could come in and make a way better game than EA on their first year of producing a football game.
EA sets the bar so low. For a game like 2K5 which is 20 years old to be better than every current madden is so sad. You're telling me that a game designed for a playstaion 2 still tops current madden? These next gen consoles have more power and storage than ever.
This just goes to show with the resources 2K has they'd blow EA out the water today and it wouldn't even be close.
There's a reason they are paying the nfl millions to keep the game exclusive. They simply just can't compete.
Remember last time EA competed with 2k with their NBA LIVE game? 2K put nba live in it's grave. (Rip NBA LIVE)
Nowadays, the players getting drafted in the nfl are young enough to experience the bs EA has been putting us through the last decade, and push the nfl to break the agreement.
